What a night, Dickie Finishes 3rd and Tracy 8th !

I am still buzzing from the awesome race I witnessed tonight ! When you can turn a 15th and 21st starting position into a 3rd and 8th, that is success. A great team effort by everyone, the Drivers the Crew and the Owner. Tracy's car was in bad shape last night and had to be taken back to the shop for major repairs. The crew worked all night welding and straitening, then returning to the track with no sleep.

The Race:

Dickie worked his way to the front quickly running a smooth and consistent line. He led a good bit of the race until Jac was able to get by him. Dickie did not give up, trying many times to get under Jac to regain the lead. The cautions did not help during the final laps, allowing Stevie Smith to get around as well. But Dickie kept his head and brought it home 3rd keeping J.J. behind him.

Tracy had a great race as well, he passed 13 cars in 40 laps and was charging hard at the end. He couldn't have had a tougher weekend, setting fast time and then to be taken out in the first lap of his heat by a experienced driver using poor judgment. He was a little disappointed but we are all proud of him !

Again I have to stress what a great job the crew did, and thank all those that offered their help after the crash. Proving again that racing people are some of the finest people you will ever be around.

Friday Night Update - Both drivers are in the Million !

The crew at work.

That's the good news, the bad news is that Tracy was run into the wall at the start of his heat and the car is going to take a all nighter. Tracy's car is bent up pretty good, but the crew already has it stripped down and I am sure will be able to get it race ready by tomorrow.  Tracy set fast time out of 138 cars and is guaranteed a spot in the feature (21st). Dickie's time was 24th quick and had to make it through his heat race. Dickie did a great job, raced Jac Haudenschild for the lead then settled into second to make the transfer. Hope to after a Victory Shot here late tomorrow night !

All efforts will be made to get up some live photos & reports during the weekend.

CARS ARE REDONE BEFORE MOPAR MILLION
The Hoffman Team has been busy in the off weeks, redoing the new Twisters in preparation for the Mopar Million.  New noses, hoods, and side panels have been built for both "new" Twisters in order to make the cars more aerodynamic .  Richard reopened the paint shop, and Rob, Dan , and Brian kept the new body panels coming.  Attached are pictures of the cars ready to load before leaving for the Big E, without decals.  At this writing the cars are in line at Eldora and no except the crew has seen the new cars.  The entire Team is pumped for this historical event.  See you at the races.
